Affiliate FAQ

1) What is Art of Tea?
Art of Tea is a web based-business based in Los Angeles focused on bringing our customers custom crafted and unique teas sourced from around the world. Our affiliate program provides our affiliate partners with a way to share our revenue by spreading our message and offering via various internet channels ( for example: blogs, forums, review sites and gift suggestion sites).

2) How does the affiliate program work?
The overall principle of the affiliate program is about driving sales. In essence you and your website become "sales agents " for Art of Tea, and you will get paid a commission for every customer that you drive to our site and who makes a purchase. We've partnered with Shareasale to help facilitate this. Once you join our affiliate program, you will have access to banners and links that you can put on your website. If customers click on those links, they will get directed to the Art of Tea main site, and if they make a purchase, you will receive a commission for that purchase. Now something to keep in mind, the customer need not make a purchase on the same day they click through the link. If they return within 180 days of clicking on your link, or if they return to make subsequent purchases, you will also receive a commission for those sales.

3) What is Shareasale and how do they fit in?
Shareasale is the 3rd party independent tracking system that we use to make sure you get credit for the sales from your referred visitors. Shareasale provides very fast and accurate reporting on your stats, timely payments, and has a sterling reputation for honest and highly ethical business practices.

4) Does my site qualify for the program?
All sites are welcome, as long as it doesn't promote illegal activities or pornography, nor engages in any deceptive practices, spyware/malware or "cookie stuffing." There are no traffic minimums, so why not give it a try? We encourage anyone to sign up, be it someone just starting out in affiliate marketing, or the professional "super" affiliate.

5) How and when do I get paid?
All of our payments are handled through the ShareASale system, and the following is taken from their affiliate FAQ regarding payment information

Payments are mailed out on or around the 20th day of the month, for the past months commissions, for all affiliates who have reached the $50 minimum balance. At the time that payment is sent, you will see a transaction in your register for the amount of the commissions paid. If your balance is less than $50, we carry over your balance to the next month.

You can indicate your Payment Preference in your ShareASale Account Page.

Currently, the options for payment are:

  • Direct Deposit (Not available in all locations)
  • Check - Sent via FedEx
  • Check - Sent via U.S. Postal Mail

6) What kind of support will I get from the AMWSO / Art of Tea team?
The Art of Tea affiliate program is run exclusively by AMWSO with dedicated professional affiliate manager. The affiliate manager is available any time to answer any questions, help with any advice, or talk about any suggestions or comments you might have. A catalog of high quality banners and text links are available in a variety of styles for you to make use of on your site, and we also offer a free data feed available through the ShareASale system. Also, from time to time we'll announce coupons or special promotions that you can make available to your visitors/community. We'll communicate these to you via our regular email newsletters.
