The Perfect End-of-Summer Tea-Infused Cocktail

Tea is an excellent drink of choice for any summer gathering — it can be served hot or cold, it’s refreshing, and it’s always delicious.

But what you might not know is that it's extremely versatile too. Because tea has become increasingly popular in cocktails, now you can enjoy tea at summer parties (and BBQs) with a yummy twist that your friends and family will love!

Read on for the perfect end-of-summer tea-infused cocktail that’s both cooling and tasty with complex flavor notes from each tea.

Blackberry Mojito Tea Spritzer

The Blackberry Mojito Tea Spritzer is very refreshing and uses two different types of tea that complement each other’s tastes very well. And if you decide to skip the alcohol, the combination of teas can provide a lot of health benefits too.


  • 4 Tsp Green Tea
  • 4 tsp White Tea
  • 2 oz White Rum
  • 1oz simple syrup
  • ¼ cup of fresh raspberries
  • ¼ cup of fresh blackberries
  • 1 dash of club soda
  • ½ lime freshly squeezed
  • 3 fresh mint leaves

Cocktail Base:

The teas should ideally be brewed separately the day before you want to enjoy them. When brewing, use a water temperature between 170 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 minutes and then let them cool gradually overnight — steeping at this temperature is perfect for white and green teas as it ensures they maintain their sweet and delicate flavor as well as the structure of their powerful antioxidants. If you brew these teas any hotter, however, the leaves could burn, which destroys the health properties in the tea leaves and makes the tea taste harsh and bitter.

Once the teas have cooled down considerably, add the raspberries and blackberries. This lets the flavor of the berries infuse with the tea and creates the mouthwatering base.

Once the cocktail base is ready, you’re ready to make the rest!


  1. Add ice and rum into a glass followed by the mint leaves, tea, and syrup
  2. Gently mix these key ingredients together
  3. Add the club soda and add the lime juice into the beverage
  4. When you’re ready to enjoy, garnish with one or two raspberries and add another fresh mint leaf
